«Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth». (1 Cor. 5:7,8)

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

These words have been echoed for the past two thousand years as the inspiration and encouragement of each person who has accepted the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Today, when the whole world has sunken into depression and plunged into gloom, we can say with certainty that only the resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us hope, joy and confidence for the future. God showed His love for us by giving His only Son for us and He redeemed us through His death and resurrection. Therefore, Easter for us is not merely a tribute to an old tradition or memory, but it is both our present and future!

This is Easter:

Forgiveness;
«Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins». (Acts 13:38)

The Lamb of God, given to us, clothed in mercy for our sins;
«…Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world». (John 1:29)

Salvation for everyone who accepts the Truth;
«Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life». (Romans 5:9,10)

An intercessor for us before our heavenly Father;
«Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us». (Romans 8:33,34)

Alpha and Omega. In Him there is fullness and perfection;
«I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty». (Revelation 1:8)

We hope that the risen Jesus lives in your hearts, filled by the Holy Spirit. May His love, proven on Golgotha, warm you both now and after. May the joy of the resurrection inspire you in your work and play. May God bless you and your families and keep you safe for eternity with Him in glory!
