The "Centre of Christian Learning" and Christian Youth Society "Alpha and Omega" invite you to the discussion evenings about science, faith, and whether the two can coexist. The presentations and discussion is led by Sergei Nikolenko, a physiсist and theologian, both by education and by calling.

The meetings will take place on the 26th of November, the 3rd and the 10th of December, Thursdays, in the building of "Alpha and Omega", Dimitrova St, 19, Dnipropetrovsk, at 18:00.

The audio-records of the lectures (in Russian) are being uploaded to our gallery, the first lecture is already available.

November, the 26th	Science and Christianity: contradiction or harmony?
	Is it true that a believer cannot be a scientist, and a scientist cannot be a believer? Can a rational mind accept the existence of God? What role did Christianity play in the development of contemporary science? Does faith hold our minds back, or inspires us to new discoveries in the understanding of our world?
December, the 3rd	God, time and the origin of Universe
	How God relates to time? What did theologians think about this relation over the course of history? What is known about time in our day? How does relation of God to time influence various theories of the Universe's origin? Does the Big Bang theory contradict possibility of world creation?
December, the 10	Signs of intelligent design in our world
	Is it possible to have reliable proof of world creation? What factors point to the act of an intelligent Creator? How the possibility of knowing the Universe hints us at the Name of the One, Who created it? Where else can we see the work of His hand?

Вот ещё ролик, "Известная вселенная", недавно сделанный Американским Музеем Естественной Истории. Очень красиво сделано, и показаны дополнительные зацепки для воображения - орбиты искуственных спутников Земли, области, в которых галактики ещё даже не нанесены на карту, квазары, и, финалом, "границы" реликтового излучения.

К сожалению, пока ничего конкретного порекомендовать не могу. Опять же, можно посмотреть сайт Resons to Believe (http://www.reasons.org), у них довольно много качественных материалов.
