Each year as the celebration of Easter approaches, “Alpha and Omega” gets a face-lift! Out comes the fresh makeup and new clothes! Well, of course I’m talking about remodeling and painting. Everyone who is able is invited to take part in this masterpiece, this enormous project, also known in code as “Spring Clean-up”!

In the course of two sunny days: Friday and Saturday, under the leadership of Yan Batshev, with the participation of our Head Leaders and Directors Nikolay Slobodyanyuk and Aleksey Navrotskiy, the whole territory of “Alpha and Omega” was operated on by numerous creative volunteers, desiring to have their input included on this communal project! All of the working process took place in warm and friendly fellowship which allowed us to rest spiritually and strengthened our friendship with each other. You can’t get by without making a few friends since we had some people who were new to “Alpha and Omega” come out to help. Although they hadn’t been with us long, it was enough time to develop a love for Alpha which motivated them to help! Praise God for them! Our wonderful house-keepers kept us in good spirits. They prepared a tasty lunch for all the heroes of this “Spring Clean-up”. The jury is still out regarding who waited for whom longer but in the end we all were left full and satisfied! Since there was so much work to do, the teams set to it and time flew! Working together truly unites people! For us, this work didn’t only unite us, but it also brought a lot of laughs. Until the late hours of the night on Saturday, many remained hard at work. Finally, although we were quite tired, we went home, pleased with what we had accomplished.

The next day we met again, but this time “Alpha and Omega” was renewed, refreshed and bright. We all felt a sincere thankfulness to God for these unforgettable days at the “Spring-Clean-up”!!!

So now we invite all of you to our renewed, well-lit and clean “Alpha and Omega”! Welcome!
