What God has created will always bloom and grow with brilliance and a realism of its own. There is evidence for this in our very own “Alpha and Omega”. Each day in “Alpha and Omega” new varieties and shades of ideas come into being, dreams fly to completion, and it’s something of a miracle! Our team leaders are always thinking and planning project after project! At this very moment, all creative resources are being directed to the conference taking place on February 28th, 2009 and the comedy show KVN, taking place on March 8th, 2009. And all of this will be taken care of at “Alpha and Omega”!

Looking back, we can evaluate the quality of our finished projects. This helps us to set new goals and strive to reach them! It is only thanks to God, who stands at the centre of everything at “Alpha and Omega”. He truly lives and acts and doesn’t just exist somewhere in the realm of the unknown!!!

The service which took place on the 15th of February is quite a storey! Everything which happened there will be remembered by many! The inspirational worship was performed musically by the band “For You”, several people shared their testimonies about God’s work in their lives, the sermon was preached by Valeriya Stepanovich Antonyuka from the city of Kiev (the theme was: The five things God values in His people), the new web site was creatively presented, Vlad Shamayda encouraged many to register at the site and to visit it often! After service, everyone broke off into their groups and headed on their way; some to basketball, some to hang out with friends. But wherever they went, they were all a little changed, changed for the better. And of that, I am certain.

Service on the 22nd of February was a little bit different that our usual services. Nina Alekseyevna had returned home from hr trip and she shared with us a wonderful testimony of how God had blessed her in all of her travels and especially at the National Prayer Breakfast, giving her time to socialize with high-ranking officials. Also, all the girls at “Alpha and Omega” congratulated all the guys who attend the youth centre. The coming celebration would be on February 23rd, when the country celebrates the “Day of all Soldiers”. This celebration honours all men, especially those who have served in our army. These weren’t simple spoken congratulations either, they were comics presented with the photos of our guys, the girls from the group “Bringing Joy” (which plans fun activities at “Alpha and Omega”) put on a short theatrical presentation, and on behalf of all the girls, Julia Prokudina composed a poem to impress their brothers:

I want to write a poem now,
About our wonderful guys.
They are amazing without a doubt,
Each verse is true, no lies!

Our feminine hearts could pour out,
A flow of congratulatory praise,
About our inspiration endlessly.
“Alpha’s” guys are the strongest always!

In the world none can compare.
Caring, cute, and kind
Beautiful, reliable,
Our country’s greatest pride!

Husbands, students, heroes,
Programmers, chefs, actors,
Friends, athletes, jokers,
Poets, fathers, pastors,

Sons, coaches, musicians,
Photographers, tourists, and others!
An uncountable number of talents!
How kind fate has been to give us brothers!

How nice it is to be with them,
To feel their gentle care!
How pleasant when they sing for us,
And inspire us by always being there!

As they make their fearless moves,
They can move mountains for our sake,
As they protect us in moments of danger
And help us when difficulties make life shake

With courage and wisdom out pouring,
Books of history they are able to create.
And when they are not near us,
Our hearts in silence wait.

It is so very complicated to write this,
And to tell of these men in rhyme,
Without sharing all of their worthiness,
I’m knows there are more reasons than time!

But in order to close off this poem,
I’ve written a lot but there’s more to say,
I’ll send you ‘hello’ without expectation
Hey guys!!! Happy Men’s Day!!!

After service and everyone had been congratulated, the girls organized a large snack of sweets and tea for the guys and for everyone else who came to service that day.
