The TV ministry at “Alpha and Omega” is a particularly important blessing for us. It was a dream that became a reality at some point, thank to the enthusiasm of several people who were confident in the Lord and knew that “Nothing is impossible with God”!

It has been more than 13 years already that the Dnepropetrovsk TV channel has broadcast the “Alpha and Omega” TV programme each month. More than one and a half million TV viewers in the Dnepropetrovsk region have the opportunity to watch the programme and hear the Good News. Over the course of time more than 160 unique programmes have been made in addition to many other productions. More than 10 different TV hosts have worked in front of our cameras. In addition to those whom we see in front of the camera, there is another team of important people who stand on the other side filming and operating the equipment.

Since the very first creation of our television programmes, the inspiration and push has come from the idea of our centre’s leader, Michael Zhovnir. He is one of the few who always believed in the possibility of this project becoming a reality and he showed great support for this work. Another important person, without whom this programme would never have been broadcast, is Pastor Roland Syens. Without his spiritual, prayerful and material support, the release of our programme would have been impossible. Finally, we must mention Viktor Iotko who is our irreplaceable producer, editor, programme director and studio leader.

The goal of our TV programmes is to reach young people who are not Christians and bring to them the love of Jesus. We believe that TV programming is one of the most effective methods of bringing this message to the people of today’s society, and because of this, we use this language to tell the world of the limitless love of God, to share his forgiveness and bring salvation. Throughout the existence of the programme we have received a lot of positive feedback and interested calls to our centre “Alpha and Omega”. People, who saw the show, come to check out the centre and end up staying and joining us. Our TV team also works with filming various conferences, concerts and other projects which fit into the frame-work of the ministry of our youth centre “Alpha and Omega”.

We are very grateful to God for the possibilities he continually provides us with. We are grateful for the opportunity to be broadcast on the television channels of the Dnepropetrovsk region. We are grateful that our programme can be viewed in the USA, thanks to our partnership with the TV channels there. We are also thankful for the opportunities which some of our members have been given to study in Canada at the School of Communication and Production. During the time of instruction spent at the TV school «Crossroads» we received outstanding experience and new information and knowledge. We saw the work of TV producers using new equipment, quality lighting and paint; they shared their experience and knowledge of creating video productions. However, not being in possession of all the same equipment as professionals when producing our programmes, we try our best to make our programmes at a comparable level and worthy quality. We thank God for all He gives! We also thank those who support us. Thank you for your prayers and help! We are always open to new ideas and suggestions! God loves you and so do we!
